Junior Estimator

Job Description: We are a dynamic and growing company that is looking for a junior estimator to work on our engineering team. The successful applicant will be team-oriented, organized, and able to work well with deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare piping takeoffs and specifications for pricing
  • Mark drawings and specifications
  • Reviewing received project documents
  • Update projects once bid opportunities are received
  • Communication with contractors regarding projects

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience with mechanical drawings (to be able to complete piping designs)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • An engineering background is not required but a bonus
  • Experience with mechanical selection software is an asset but not required (Bluebeam/PDF Exchanger)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interpersonal and Organization Skills
  • Quick learner
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
